Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley and Steven Stiles.
Ashley and Steven, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
A few years ago my husband had a dream that we owned a restaurant in Texas, He wasn’t sure of which part of Texas he just knew it was booming. (lol) We started looking into opening a business in New Orleans but everything wasn’t working out I guess God was like I said Texas!!! So we started looking in Houston and just like that everything started working in our favor. We stepped out on faith and boom November 24, 2017, Mardi Gras Chill spot opened.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Noooo indeed! We definitely ran into some struggles! It all started with finding the perfect location. We visited several Buildings before finding what we thought was the right spot, we’ll the owner of this place wanted us to change our name and I wasn’t having it. So Months passed before finding the location we have now.
So we did our build out and was ready to open then boom here comes Hurricane Harvey at this point we were completely exhausted mentally and physically I called my mom crying telling her we’re ready to come home and she told us God didn’t bring us this far to leave us hanging. She said just wait on God and we did just that.
Please tell us about Mardi Gras Chill Spot.
We own New Orleans base daiquiri shop here in Cypress Tx. Everything we sell is authentic food& drinks. We are known for our great customer service and our daiquiris, and Food. We are most proud of our employees how they will go above and beyond to make sure each customer satisfied.
As we all know there are several New Orleans base daiquiri shops here in Houston TX And we all have one thing in common and that’s providing For our families we don’t believe in competition and that’s how we’re different from others.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing really. We believe everything happens for a reason.
