Meet Aury Ruiz of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aury Ruiz.

Hi Aury, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
This idea started when I resigned from my career job because I became a mom for the first time. My husband and I always talked about opening a business, but with 2 full time jobs we never had the time. Becoming a stay at home mom gave me the opportunity of having a “side” hustle. Not realizing this would become into a full time job.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. As any business you learn as you go. Navigating thru how to become an established company, getting insured and licensed, and growing your clientele was rough. Getting your name out there and earning people’s trust is always challenging, yet we mastered it. With so many companies doing the same thing, we had to set ourselves apart. Balancing being a mom, wife and new to the rental industry world always had me doubting myself. But with so many clients and family always cheering us along the way and constantly referring us, we knew we had to keep going. My mind was full of ideas and I had to bring that vision to life.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My husband and I own an event rental business. Our equipment ranges from large quantities of tables, chairs, farmhouse tables, rustic and western decor, whiskey barrels, marquees, cocktail tables, bar stools, mobile bars, tents, photobooths, kids tables and chairs. We offer our services to everyone; from small backyard gatherings to big corporate events and everything in between. We also own an event venue where we create and host special celebrations from weddings, quinceañeras, baby showers, graduation parties and birthday parties.
We’re most proud of truly being blessed and faith driven.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is growing up around family. Always having fun with my cousins and being surrounded by my big family. I’m very family oriented. Having my grandma cook her delicious meals and always having a bbq and family over has always been a blessing.
