Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayisha Anifowoshe.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
WhatAyishaEats started off as a creative outlet for me to express my love and passion for food. I am immensely blessed & truly grateful for the opportunities this blog has brought to me. I started on June 27, 2019 and I had no idea this seemingly small venture would become the adventure it is today. I’ve collaborated with so many restaurants who have received well-deserved exposure. What strikes me the most is how many people depend on my thorough reviews. I think what makes WhatAyishaEats so special is that my reviews are unique, genuine, & well thought out. When I go to do a review, I actually savor every single moment. I take my time & I experience the ambiance, the wait staff, the management, & even the guests. I love being inclusive & mentioning people by name in my reviews.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not exactly, in all honestly, it has its occasional bumps. I have caught slack in the past because of my desire to be completely honest in my reviews & sometimes that isn’t well-received by others. Not all my reviews are completely positive. If I were to sugarcoat everything, I wouldn’t be true to myself & be an honest blogger. I want my followers/supporters to get a true insight into my complete experience of the establishment whether it be a restaurant, food truck, or stand. Honesty is always the best policy in my book. Also getting people I know to snow love & support to my food blog has always been a issue, I’ve found it to be that strangers show support way more.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Ayisha’s Enterprises?
My business is self-owned and is called Ayisha’s Enterprises. I’m an entrepreneur who launched WhatAyishaEats, my food blog. I collaborate with restaurants to get them more recognition. Also, I am the CEO of Ayisha’s Sweets which is my sweets company. We specialize in chocolate dipped sweets but mainly chocolate covered strawberries, which is our best seller. I put in a lot of dedication in making each sweet perfect for the customer. I’m also a freelance model, I do that on the side as a way to express my individuality. I’m working on starting up Life Coaching with Ayisha. I assist individuals in having a progressive lifestyle & becoming the best version of themselves in their lifestyle & mindset. I focus on the law of attraction & manifesting your dreams into reality. For pricing: $100/hr for 1:1 life coaching.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising most people don’t know is I decided to not go to college after high school. I have just been gaining knowledge & working nonstop. Also, I do everything without a driver’s license or car which has certainly been a challenge but not impossible. Hopefully, I get it soon though.
