Meet Ashley Lee of Bachelor Pad Cleaning Service in Cypress

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Lee.

Ashley, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was raised in Northwest Louisiana in a small town called Mansfield. Growing up as a child I was very creative especially with writing but it wasn’t until my junior year of high school that I discovered my love for business. Mrs. Rose Jackson was the teacher over FBLA which stands for Future Business Leaders of America at that time and she suggested that I join. My very first year of competing in the Business Marketing category I placed in the district competition from there I went on to state and I placed 1st place in the state competition and from there I had the opportunity to compete at the national competition that was held at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

After high school, I attended Louisiana Tech University where I majored in Business Marketing. The very first business that I actually developed was apart of a group project for my Business 101 class. The business we decided on was a day spa and I was in charge of developing a day spa that would stand out from all the other spas in the surrounding cities. My favorite part was researching our competition and how we could not only be better but different and stand out in our industry. That is where my love for business and creativity merged together.

In 2016 was the year that the idea of Bachelor Pad Cleaning Service was born. When people ask me how did I come up with the concept I simply say it was a God-inspired idea..which it truly was. At that point in my life, I knew that I did not want to go back into the workforce and I wanted to be a business owner but I wasn’t sure what business to start. I wanted something that was going to be simple to start by myself with not a lot of capital to get started and that is where God downloaded to me not only starting a cleaning service but the actual name of the business.

From there it has been about being a solution to a problem and meeting the needs in a specific niche market.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With every business, there will definitely be struggles along the way. Some people will get your vision and some will not. The most important part for me is the vision that I have for my business and my clients and how I am every day thinking of ways to enhance their lives. Whenever you are trying to do something that is outside the norm there will be obstacles but I believe that is how innovators and trailblazers are born and that is what I want to be remembered as.

Bachelor Pad Cleaning Service – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Bachelor Pad Cleaning Service is a cleaning service for “The Guy on The Go” My business is marketed towards the guys that are entrepreneurs, business owners, and corporate professionals who are impacting and influencing the world around them. Not only is it just a cleaning service but we will also make sure that their refrigerator and pantry are stocked with grocery and that laundry is done as well. We want to make sure that we take the weight of attending to domestic needs off their shoulders. In the near future, we are looking at working with a meal prep company to provide our clients with healthy prepared meals as well.

As a company, we don’t just want to tend to the needs of our clients but to the needs of those less fortunate as well. That is why a portion of the profits from Bachelor Pad Cleaning Service goes towards community outreach by feeding the homeless and donating to global mission outreach in disadvantaged countries.

We also specialize in Move Out/Move-In Cleanings as well as Special Event Cleanings.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career so far has honestly been the day that I decided to step out on faith, relocate from Louisiana to Houston, Texas and start my business. Once I got over the initial fear of failure, there was no looking back. I get to be creative in my business and have fun doing what I love which is being a servant leader.
