Meet B’ak Amaru

Today we’d like to introduce you to B’ak Amaru.

Hi B’ak, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I think my story may parallel to many other “millenials” (I think that’s what they call us, lol).

I grew up playing sports, dreaming of going pro like everyone else. Needless to say, that didn’t happen. So, I began my freshman year of college at the University of Houston in the fall of 2012 with no scholarships, and without a real plan or direction for my life. My self-identity was very wrapped up in being an athlete up to that point, and with sports no longer being a major factor in my life, I will admit that I was lost. It’s an interesting position to find yourself in, when you are raised a certain way and allowed to adopt certain beliefs & ideologies, and then you get to your early or mid twenties and realize, “Dang, I think I have to start over at this thing called life”. And not just because of my lost “hoop dreams”, but also from looking at how quickly the world is changing while trying to find my place in it to compete.

This was all very relevant to me seeking to become an entrepreneur, because though I no longer had sports dreams to distract myself with, the one thing I did know is that I wanted to earn a big lifestyle and effect a great change in the world. And, increasing entrepreneurship is GREALTY needed amongst my generation and future generations to be able to sustain ourselves in these changing times. So after learning about my aboriginal indigenous history during the fall of 2015 while attending Texas Southern University (TSU), I gained an immense sense of purpose and hope for the future. I ended up dropping out of TSU, nationalizing into the Aboriginal Republic of North America (ARNA), and began taking classes at Aboriginal University, founded by Dr. Ali Muhammad. There, I earned a Level 1 Jurist Doctorate degree in 2017 and my PhD in Astro-Psychology in 2018. I published my dissertation on cosmological studies called “Change Your Mind” in 2018 as well, and have been working as a jurist and indigenous psychologist ever sense.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No way, it definitely hasn’t been smooth.

I’d say the biggest challenge for me has been getting out of my own way. I was not raised to be an entrepreneur, and I did not grow up around very many of them either. I guess I never looked at business owners or professionals carving out their own way as something I could do. I thought it wasn’t for me, until I went to college. Now, years later at 28, I’d say I’m just now starting to fully accept that I can and should be doing more. I get a lot of compliments from my indigenous national community about my work, but I’ve had struggles accepting them because I often still see myself as the person I was before, someone who was more complacent, uncreative, always taking a backseat to others. I’m beginning to see the great responsibility and leadership required in offering services and products to a community in need, and I realize I can no longer run from that. All the bad habits I carried over from my adolescence, selfishness, fearfulness, they don’t have a place anymore. I’ve had to do a lot of soul-searching and self-work to overcoming my weak-points, and it’s definitely still a work in progress, but I can see the fruits of those labors beginning to come in. And most importantly, I’ve finally starting asking for help!!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Under my brand “Little Light of Mind”, I carry out what we think is the most important work on Earth: helping people to identify their exact energetic states at any point in their life.

Bringing people to a full awareness of reality, that’s what I do. Readers may be familiar with something called the “Mayan Calendar”. Well, the proper term is the Tzulukin (dog-star) Calendar, and as an indigenous Astro-Psychologist, I utilize this cosmological system along with other polarity sciences to calculate on human psychology and behavior. At the moment we are born and take our first breaths of the atmosphere, we are imprinted with electromagnetic signatures and our minds come to life. I am credentialed to read these energies, and they can be read for creating our purpose(s) throughout life, identifying ideal relationship partners with mathematical precision, planning for the conception and gender of children to be born, doing forensic and investigative work, and much, much more. One thing I am very proud of, along with the aforementioned services, is that I completed the writing of my dissertation “Change Your Mind” and am now accredited to start teaching courses on astro-psychology of my own! I intend to have those up and running very soon, and will be able to spread the knowledge of indigenous psyche-studies to many people and begin building new libraries for the world.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I was born and raised in the Houston area, Pearland to be exact. I like the laidback culture, it’s just a chill place to be. I sense that there is a window of opportunity for new generations of business-minded people to make a great impact in the area as well, and I want in.

I’m not sure what I don’t like about Houston, other than that people aren’t very friendly (I’m guilty also, lol). It’s always been home to me, so I’ve always felt comfortable here. I do miss Astroworld though, I guess that’s a dislike.
