Today we’d like to introduce you to Beauté Harleaux.
Hi Beauté, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and started doing hair as a teenager after moving to live with my uncle and his wife in Houston, Texas long before I had a license – just a passion and a gift. After serving in the Navy, I transitioned into cosmetology professionally and trained at the Aveda Institute, then began building Unconscious Beauté Studio from a place of purpose, not just profit.
Along my journey, I experienced my own life challenges, including hair loss, motherhood, and entrepreneurship, which shaped how I care for my clients today – especially those going through medical treatments or major transitions. I’ve specialized in medical wigs, and luxury extensions, blending beauty with education and healing.
My studio evolved into more than just a salon – it became a safe space for confidence restoration and cultural awareness. Now located in Memorial City, Houston, I’m expanding my mission beyond the chair through consulting, and digital education to help beauty professionals build sustainable businesses.
I’m still growing, still evolving, and I show up every day to prove that your purpose can be the foundation of your success.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road – but a purposeful one. I’ve faced challenges in almost every season: balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship, navigating health concerns, rebuilding after setbacks, and shifting from being behind the chair full time to becoming a leader and educator in the industry.
There were times I felt overlooked or misunderstood, especially as a woman of color in beauty and business. I’ve experienced burnout, financial uncertainty, and moments where I had to pause and rebuild. But every challenge taught me how to restructure, set boundaries, and create systems that support both my clients and myself.
What kept me going was knowing that my work doesn’t just change appearances – it restores dignity and confidence. Today, those struggles are now part of the framework I teach other professionals: how to build from strength, not survival.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in custom medical wigs (cranial prosthesis), luxury extensions, and mentoring beauty professionals who want to grow beyond the chair. At Unconscious Beauté Studio in Memorial City – Houston, I focus on restoring confidence through high – quality, long – wearing wigs / extension installs and personalized hair loss solutions. I work one – on – one with clients who are seeking premium results – whether it’s enhancing their natural look or rebuilding their identity after medical treatment.
In addition to my salon work, I mentor beauty professionals on how to transition from stylist to CEO. I teach them how to build sustainable income streams, structure their businesses correctly, and step into leadership without sacrificing creativity or wellness.
What sets me apart is my blend of technical expertise and business strategy. I don’t just transform hair – I help women feel whole again and help professionals build brands that last. My approach is both luxury and purpose-driven: every service or strategy I provide is personalized, intentional, and rooted in long-term success.
What I’m most proud of is turning my experience into impact – helping clients regain confidence through beauty, and helping industry professionals build businesses they once thought were out of reach.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next decade, I see the beauty industry moving toward specialty services, education-based models, and wellness integration. Clients are no longer just booking an appointment – they’re looking for personalized care, long-term solutions, and professionals who truly understand their needs.
Here are the biggest shifts I expect to see:
Clients will prioritize results and experience over trend – following. Private, high – end environments, cultural sensitivity, and education – based service will be in high demand.
Technology will play a major role. From AI consultations to virtual education, clients and professionals will expect hybrid access to expert knowledge.
I believe the next chapter of beauty belongs to those who specialize, innovate, and educate – not just those who perform services. That’s where I’m positioning myself and those I mentor.
