Today we’d like to introduce you to Benito Diaz.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started at UTI for automotive technology, after that I took a FORD accelerated program to get certified in multiple FORD departments. After graduating I started as an assistant at a Ford dealership working with Ford Power Stroke Diesel Trucks. Eventually becoming an independent technician, I spent about ten years working at a Ford dealership gathering as much experience and credentials as I could. In 2014 I asked my brother Tony to help me start my own company specializing in Ford Diesel trucks but also welcoming all other light duty and medium duty Diesels. We are now going on 3 years being open! We work very hard and try our best to do the best job for every customer we get. Even after an extensive repair we give the trucks a nice wash as a token of our appreciation! We now have a total crew of 5 and we all have the same goal to provide the best customer service we can! We love what we do and our work shows it.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Well it’s been a hard and stressful road, struggling every day to build our clients and trying to put our name out there for people to recognize it. But with the support of my wife, family and friends so far we have been able to overcome many obstacles. I am driven by my own fear of failure, it’s my motivator. Some people even say I am my own worst enemy, that’s probably been my worst struggle is dealing with my own criticism.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about STP DIESEL – what should we know?
We are a Ford Power Stroke Diesel Certified repair shop. We also diagnose and repair many other light duty and medium duty trucks. We also add performance, modifications to the engines to add horsepower and torque, we do that for gasoline trucks as well. We perform lift kits on trucks as well with wheel and tire packages. We are mostly known for our experience with Ford diesels. I am most proud of my team, they work extremely hard to make my job and life easier. The thing that sets us apart is our service! Our dedication to our customers is like no other. Just about all my customers have my cell phone so they can reach me 24/7 with any issues, I also spend a lot of time on social media answering questions and helping people with their trucks.
