Meet Bino Taylor of Knarly Timez in Northside

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bino Taylor.

Bino, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have ALWAYS had an interest in fashion and finding a way to blend my art with the extravagant world of fashion. I believe that your personal style is what allows you to be an individual. I started Knarly Timez in my freshman year of college after deciding that Football was no longer my passion. When I returned to my hometown the following summer, I wasn’t seeing eye to eye with my parents, so I chose couch surfing and dream chasing. I turned 21 in January and I’m beginning to see my dreams prevail. I’m nowhere close to where I want to be, but I understand this process requires patience, resilience, and persistence.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been tons of bumps on this road, but nothing worth having comes easy. The first real problem I had was finding somewhere to print my work for an affordable price, but then I discovered drop shipping. I get people who constantly tell me that maybe I should draw something more positive, but I pay them no attention.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Knarly Timez – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Knarly Timez strives to change youth’s perception of style, promote self-expression, and bring an end to the conformity within our society.

Our wavey notion of fashion provides a platform where anyone and everyone can bring their unique aura to life.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Outside of the cheesy dreams every other designer or creative has of seeing celebrities wearing their pieces and opening store; I don’t really think I am looking forward to anything other than the present. I’m focused on living to the fullest in the now and absorbing every emotion on my journey.
