Meet Bishoi Attia of Big C Auto Sales in Pasadena

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bishoi Attia.

Bishoi, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I first started working in the family business when I was a junior in high school. It was a struggling business my father was in a lot of debt with a business that was draining him more than building profiting. When I started to work and handle the business I started to enjoy it and thank God it began to be more and more successful. When it came time for college I had gotten 2 full rides for engineering at University of Texas and Texas a and m. But I could not just leave my family and build myself up.

It was such a hard decision to the point where I registered and got my student id for Texas a and m and the University of Houston. I ended up staying in Houston and from then on things picked up. Nothing was easy, building a business while paying debt while studying was extremely busy. Through Grace of God, the business has been growing and successful, and each year has been better than the last. We focus on each customer and help them based on their budget, and regardless of their credit, we will give them a chance. We offer in-house financing as well as great cash specials. We are always available to answer any question. And try to make things as easy as possible hence our slogan “selling cars like candy bars” because outs that easy.

Has it been a smooth road?
I always say nothing that is worth it, is easy. So no successful business will be a smooth road. A big struggle I had was growing while paying a debt. And growing without having any capital to start was a huge hurdle and caused us to be under the yoke of a financial floor plan for a while which caused huge stress personally and on the business.

We specialize in used cars that are under $15,000 we offer our own financing that we can structure to fit any client. As well as unbeatable cash price and will serve anyone, anywhere. We are easy and try to make the customer feel as comfortable as possible.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I did not choose my location, but I would never change it as long as it’s in my power. The community has accepted our business and loves us. There are certain laws in place that make it hard on businesses that I feel stunt growth. I would recommend any and every one to come to Houston, but then again I’m biased. (Born and raised here.)
