Meet Bree Olivares of Little Pookie Kids Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bree Olivares.

Hi Bree, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Two years ago, after having my second child I came up with the vision of Little Pookie Kids Co. a name inspired by my first born who’s nickname is “Pookie” which started the foundation of a brand rooted in love, legacy and passion. I wanted to build something from the ground up, something that I could do from home while raising my children and still being very present in their lives, all while giving me something I could call my own and be proud of. I struggled to find unique, high quality children’s clothing when searching in big box stores, I knew I could fill the gap and bring something timeless and special to others. I started an online website and hit the ground running doing weekend pop-up events and shows all over Montgomery County and beyond. In April 2026 I was presented with the opportunity to have a store front location, our first boutique is inside Top This Party Co. and a few months later we are now in two locations! The other inside Main Street Merchants in the heart of Downtown Conroe. It’s been a wonderful experience with amazing local, community support!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing in life worth having comes easy, it’s been a lot of late nights, early mornings and lots of sweat equity! We pivot when we need to and continue to grow along the way. One of my biggest struggles is juggling being a mom to little ones, while building a business from scratch but I have an amazing support system which I am forever grateful for and couldn’t do this without!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My background starts with my passion for all things in fashion! I received my degree from Sam Houston State University in Fashion Merchandising with a Marketing degree as well. This is truly what helped shape me into who I am today and what I have built. What sets us apart from others? My rule is simple, if I wouldn’t put my own children in it, I won’t carry it. We are committed to high quality and spend countless hours sourcing the best items that fit our aesthetic. For example, we look for hand-stitched detailing, traditional smocking, old techniques and even organic materials. We also prioritize partnerships with other local, small businesses, helping other entrepreneurs grow is one of our goals. Community over competition!

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My biggest cheerleader is first and foremost my wonderful husband, he’s helped me through it all and is my biggest supporter! I also have both my parents actively helping me at events and big shows, my dad “Mike” which some of you may know, having one of the biggest personalities, never meets a stranger, always happy to help anyone and everyone and is one of the faces behind Little Pookie Kids Co. I couldn’t do this without my village! One of my best friends Karen who owns a women’s boutique Juniper Jayne, always inspires me to push further and go beyond! Usually if you see her at an event I’m right there beside her, you usually don’t see one of us without the other. I’m forever grateful for the people that God has placed in my life, that truly want me to succeed and are always my biggest supporters no matter what. The people beside me are what have made this business so successful.
