Meet Bree Turner of Every Minute Stronger in Houston Heights

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bree Turner.

Bree, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my journey with wanting to help people. I had gained forty pounds and didn’t want to keep it so I began with fitness videos and just fell in love. I always loved cooking but began experimenting with making healthy versions of my favourite foods. My mother always made delicious, healthy meals so that part was easy for me. Eventually, I lost the weight and hired my own trainer, he explained to me how fitness professionals create workout programs to not only help people reach their goals, but to also help them move properly in everyday life. This was fascinating. All my free time was spent researching fitness and nutrition and I loved working out. I knew I wanted to help others and it all came together when I found my passion in fitness.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting my own business has been an interesting challenge. It has definitely made me grow as a person, forcing me to become more outgoing and confident. I’ve always felt independent and driven but when you have to sell how fantastic you are to people, that was a whole new ballgame! It took longer than I expected to build up a decent business (of course I want everything right now!) and it was a huge leap of faith but it has been oh so worth it. I am constantly learning new techniques in fitness and in business. Thankfully, my clients have been the best I could ask for. They are happy, seeing results, and trust my judgment. When I say things like, “your glutes don’t even know how to do their job” they don’t even blink, they just grab an exercise band and make it work. I am so grateful, and so are they! Because who the heck doesn’t want a fantastic booty?

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Every Minute Stronger – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a Personal Trainer. What makes me different is I AM different! I come to you! Your gym, your house, your office and I bring fun and uniqueness into every workout and conversation. I am not your average trainer, and you won’t get average results. I assess every single one of my clients and I can tell right there if they rely too heavily on one side, stand improperly, and even how they move. I use functional movement training to make sure they are living and exercising pain free: I specialize in back pain and I have an array of people who I have helped eliminate this pain. Even if you’re not in my city, I do virtual training, so if you’re constantly traveling or a stay-at-home mom who can’t make it to the gym, I bring the workouts to you, through your computer, anywhere in the world. You get personalized workouts, nutrition advice and motivational check ins straight from me, even if we don’t live in the same city.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the diversity in our city. We are all a melting pot of different cultures that come together and share southern hospitality together. We also share our food and I can’t even pretend that’s not one of the most amazing things in the world. What I like least must be the traffic. People, I need you to carpool because bumper to bumper at 1pm on a Saturday is just unacceptable.
