Today we’d like to introduce you to Bria Lane.
Bria, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I got my start when Instagram was introduced, my friends and I would take pictures using cool filters and edits since Instagram was so new no one was doing what we were doing or at least how we were doing it so people from different schools would see it and reach out to collaborate. I started doing appearances and hosting events my senior year of high school which allowed me to meet other models, designers, and promoters in the industry. I went to Texas tech from 2013-2017 which was located 9 hours away In Lubbock, TX so I would use my Instagram to stay in contact with different designers. I eventually moved back to Houston in 2017 and officially debuted as a model when I collaborated with an arising clothing line “BEYÚ”, where I appeared on their website as well as their runway show. From there, I have collaborated with many clothing lines from Instagram and have been featured on their websites, walked in fashion and hair runway shows, appeared in music videos, as well as voice-overs for a film company.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I feel like my biggest obstacle is my location, I don’t think there are many opportunities in this industry where I am currently located.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a self-proclaimed model, I do everything from photoshoots to Social media promotions; My specialty is swimsuit and runway modeling. I am best known for my social media presence @bria.inc, my fans enjoy my featured videos and photos. I am most proud of my latest collaboration with an up and coming artist, where I will feature as the leading model. I believe my appeal, my size, and my ability to sell myself sets me apart from most models, I am only 100 pounds with long legs; Anyone can be a pretty face but not everyone can sell themselves.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career was actually being featured in this magazine. My dream is to model in Elle and Vogue magazine, this feels like a step closer to that dream!
