Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
At age 10, I told my dad I’d design custom homes, undeterred by his claim that no one could afford them due to “complicated rooflines”. “I’ll just get rich clients,” I said, a testament to the drive and vision that has guided my life. Growing up surrounded by entrepreneurs—including my brother, grandparents, and in-laws—business was a constant topic at the dinner table. I dreamed of being part of a think tank, solving problems with creativity and strategy. Those early dreams shaped my love for design, psychology, and the art of business.
My journey hasn’t been without challenges. In college, I fought for and earned a spot in a competitive study-abroad program that shaped my worldview. After graduating, I found corporate life unfulfilling, so I channeled my energy into design competitions and a blog that reached over 150,000 readers worldwide, sparking my entrepreneurial spirit through creating my own opportunities.
In 2018, I started my architecture firm, Architangent, with the driving belief that good design can change the world. I built the company from the ground up, helping business owners create a strong brand, then translating it into physical spaces for a consistent customer experience. We evolved from a scrappy startup into a laser-focused firm helping businesses large and small grow, believe and succeed.
But life tested me further. An abrupt health crisis that left me bed-bound for 6 months lead to the realization that my business model was risky: I couldn’t effectively grow a company that was reliant solely on my time and energy. That realization led to launching Resource Creators™, a platform designed to empower entrepreneurs with tools, community, and clarity to align purpose with profits. Our flagship course, The Why of Design™, now empowers entrepreneurs to master brand strategy in a DIY format, extending my mission of impact.
Every challenge I’ve faced—from corporate limitations to health struggles—has reinforced my belief in breaking barriers and creating opportunities. I’ve built my businesses with the same mindset I’ve had since childhood: If someone says it can’t be done, my response will always be, “Watch me.”

Finding a mentor OUTSIDE of your industry is critical to innovation and disruption. Yes there is value in learning from those who do what you do, but don’t limit yourself to just that skill set and knowledge pool. Do both – learn from those like you and those who are different. Keep the lessons that work, and discard the ones that don’t. Apply it to your circumstances and keep improving.
