Meet Brittany Loyd of RedDoor Consulting & Marketing Group in Southwest

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Loyd.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Brittany. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am from Fort Worth, Texas. I moved to the Houston area in 2009 to obtain my undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University. During this time, I became a mother to my now ten year old son, Keilyn. He has definitely grown with me through my academic and professional career.

Shortly after graduating, I immediately started working for a few of the top law firms in Houston. I began my graduate program at Houston Baptist University, obtaining my Masters in International Business.

Shortly after, I took a position for an oil and gas company. Between these two industries and degrees, I found my passion for legal and business development. This shifted me into opening the doors of RedDoor Consulting & Marketing Group. Through my experience and knowledge, I am able to effectively help businesses start and grow.

Through the years, my skill sets have tremendously grown from administration to management, business development and strategic planning. I currently attend Loyola Law School, located in Los Angeles, California.

In my journey, I have found myself grounded in the law and gaining a love for the legal perimeters, regulations and laws regarding tax law. My ultimate goal is to be a consultant that my clients trust and depend on to guide them in their business endeavors regarding starting and growing a business while providing them with sound advice on their tax and legal ramifications in an international realm.

In addition to owning RedDoor Consulting & Marketing Group, I am the founder of #shattereddreams. A nonprofit organization that services the community by assisting our community with adequate resources for their every life. We successfully hosted a backpack drive providing 1504 students with supplies, a shoe drive proving 50 families with shoes, back to school giveaways, as well as bringing families together for a fun day at the universal soul circus.

In addition to these to organizations, I also own a feminine healthcare line Loyd’s Touch. We have recently developed a product to service feminine healthcare needs and have sent it to patent.

As I grow as a mother, a woman, a professional and an entrepreneur, I seek to help youth understand that regardless of your obstacles, always pursue your dreams. Obstacles create opportunities. I was a statistic and I beat it by a long shot.

My hobbies consist on travel. I and my son have made it a tradition to travel and have gratefully been all over the world. We have a dog named Mysti Bleu that we saved from a friend that didn’t have a place for her anymore. We attend Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church.

Has it been a smooth road?
Some of the struggles that I have endured over the years is:
• Balancing home and work life. As I had a child young, dedicating my life to my child and career can be difficult at times.
• Taking personal relationships off the table in doing business. I say this because I have a passion for helping people grow and pursue their dreams. This can problematic in regard to billing and properly running a firm. You always want to be there for your client in the best aspect, but not all times are the clients willing to follow the advice provided and or having funding to pay their account. I am a person the thrives on relationships and I built a customer relationship based company, where our number one concern is for the client’s legacy to outlast them.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the RedDoor Consulting & Marketing Group story.
