Brittany, Pamela, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My business partner and I have always had a passion for beauty, skincare and making people walk out feeling better about themselves. With that passion we decided to open a medspa that was driven towards the hip crowd of Houston that is looking for a pampering experience at a reasonable price. We wanted to offer the best quality products, procedures, and a warm and friendly staff that make you feel like you are a part of something very unique and exclusive just for your beauty needs. We go out of our way to custom each procedure a patient has done with us to whatever concerns they are having. From facials, laser hair removal, injectables all the way to an invasive surgical procedure like SmartLipo, we really make it a priority to make sure our patients feel like their best selves after visiting The Beauty Lab River Oaks.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being a new business there are always challenges, but the hardest one we have faced so far is how to navigate through Covid 19. Having to close for two months after only being open for three was extremely heart breaking, but when we opened back up, we came back stronger than ever with loyal patients that were chomping at the bits to get the beauty fix with us.

My business partner and I have been inspired to open this business by our previous employer, Dr. James Kern, who is now our medical director at Beauty Lab river Oaks. We worked with him for six years at his previous medspa and when he decided to close his business, we felt that is was our duty to all the previous patients to still give a quality beauty and medical experience.
