Meet C. Eva O’Conner of O’Conner Fine Properties in Memorial

Today we’d like to introduce you to C. Eva O’Conner.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Eva. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up as an only child, my mother was the epitome of grit and grind. Really, I can not remember a time she didn’t work at least two jobs while also pursuing entrepreneurship. This taught me early on that self-employment is something that you can strive for no matter your circumstance.

My plans throughout high school were to become a Marine Biologist and have two children. Well, as fate would have it, I was married by age 21 and by the age of 25, I had four children, two boys, and two girls. Initially, I pursued a career as a massage therapist, then as a paramedic. After Hurricane Katrina, my husband and I decided to move our family to Houston for better opportunities.

Arriving in a city where we had no friends or family was difficult. In my mind, the future of my children far exceeded the fear that tried many times to paralyze me. After a few years, the realtor that assisted me in my journey of home ownership here suggested that I get into Real Estate. I honestly wasn’t completely sold on the idea, but I eventually made the decision to take the Texas Real Estate exam and passed. After working as a Realtor for two years, I made the decision to catapult my career and study to become a Broker. It was one of the best decisions that I’ve ever made.  I have enjoyed taking part in clients’ journeys, the connections I have made, and the relationships I have built.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, I would like to think that I have encountered more lessons than struggles along my journey. Being a mother of four small children and an entrepreneur is tasking in and of itself. Add to that, a husband that works out of town 16-20 days a month and you build a “This too shall pass” mantra around your life. I am, however, forever grateful for the blessings and lessons along the way.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about O’Conner Fine Properties – what should we know?
With so much information readily available to my clients and potential clients, I have the experience necessary to provide insight during their Real Estate transaction.  This also gives my clients the reassurance they need to be confident in making an informed decision.  I listen to the needs of my clients and translate that into a language only a real estate professional would understand.

Finding a home is more than an internet search.  It is quite often bridging the gap between emotions and reality. On our journey, a relationship is built that surpasses the transaction and transcends into life long relationships.

At O’Conner Fine Properties, we specialize in Real Estate Results and are experienced in representing buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants in both Residential and Commercial transactions.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
As I have mentioned, Real Estate is more than a transaction it is a journey. Our clients need many things from us but they are summed up as compassion, competence, and commitment. Operating with these three qualities as the foundation of O’Conner Fine Properties, we are able to remain transparent and provide Real Estate Results.
