Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Prescott.
Caitlin, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After working in corporate America for over 20 years, I realized I was checking my spirit at the door every day I walked into that office. I realized that time is a precious commodity for everyone and if I could assist my clients by doing things they didn’t want to do, I could give them more time to do more of what they enjoyed or needed.
So I opened my business and worked at it part time for 2 years, after that, realized I would have to fish or cut bait. I took a huge leap of faith and quit my job to run my business. I have been running 2nd Pair of Hands, now for 15 years full time and love it. I have built my client base on referrals from my current clients of their friends and associates as well as networking.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has had a few bumps as all roads do. Just like many businesses where you are developing a client base there have been challenges presented, that being said, knowing the quality of work performed and listening to the needs of the client have been paramount in identifying and overcoming setbacks.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about 2nd Pair of Hands – what should we know?
2nd Pair of Hands, LLC is a personal concierge business. We run errands for clients, we do pet visits, where we stop by and take care of animals while their parents are away.
We also stay in people’s homes while they travel and look after their pets and homes.
We do administrative work for clients.
We also can meet workmen at a client’s home for repairs and we have been the point of contact when a client is traveling and remodeling their homes.
We have our clients’ backs.
