Candice, it’s been too long since we last connected. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with our community again. Some readers might have missed our prior conversations, so maybe you can kick things off for us with a quick intro?
My name is Candice Wheat. I am a wife, a mother of 3, and have owned my own businesses for over 10 years. AKA, The Boss Chic!
I have a passion for making “bath art”. My company The Lavish Goat, is a small natural bath and body care business located in Houston. Our specialty is creating uniquely designed works of “bath art”. From natural goat milk soaps, goat milk bath bombs, to sinus clearing shower steamers, we always strive to make beautiful works of art.
Since we last spoke, have there been any new challenges you faced and if so how did you overcome them?
Starting in the summer of 2019 life decided to throw me some curve balls. From the loss of loved ones, lost friendship, and devastating work issues I started to feel like these balls were more like boulders crushing my very existence. When I thought I could not take much more the pandemic happened and I finally broke.
However, here is the funny thing about reaching your breaking point. You begin to except the things you can’t change and instead focus on something else entirely. After I decided to shut the doors to my previous business, a business I might add that was draining the life out of me, I began to focus on me and my passion. I am happy to say The Lavish Goat finally became more than just a side hobby and I am excited about our future.
Are there any new products you are excited about and can you share them with us?
I am super excited about our newest product, Shower Bombs!! Not to be confused with our Shower Steamers (sinus clearing aromatherapy shower tablets), a shower bomb is a bath bomb you use on your body! Think of it like an exfoliating body bar that gently cleanses, exfoliates, and moisturizes all at the same time. With triple cocoa butter and avocado oil your skin will be left feeling silky soft. Oh, and they last for 3-5 showers!
Is there anyone you would like to give a shout-out to?
I would like to give a big shout out to Houston and my followers! It’s been absolutely amazing watching my community surround me with support. From my friends and neighbors, to my faithful customers who order online or come out to see me our local farmers markets. Thank you so much!
