Meet Carmen George of Hammered Hitz Racing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carmen George.

Hi Carmen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I joined the Air Force after High School and served 21 years. My spouse followed me on 11 assignments during this time. He supported me through deployments, childbirth, three college degrees and retirement, all while putting his hopes and dreams on the back burner. I became a labor and delivery nurse halfway through my career and then went on to become a Women’s Heath Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree. My husband Jason always has been into off roading and got me hooked as well.

We made it a family affair when our daughter came along. So when I retired and we finally settled down I told home it was time we supported his dreams. We started Hammered Hitz Racing LLC which is a clothing and accessories business geared to those who love the off road. We also started an off-road race team, growing to 6 race cars and 5 drivers since 2017.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If doors don’t get slammed in your face you are not doing it right. No journey worth taking is ever easy, but the friends we have made along the way have been truly worth every struggle. We moved from NV to TX two years into our business. Our business is still growing and therefore I still work full time as a Nurse Practitioner. Covid really put a dampener on some of our sales the past year but we are still trucking along. Our race team has been able to grow and we have picked up four new sponsors in the last year.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are and online clothing and accessories business with designs which appeal to those who love off-roading. We also pay tribute to Veterans on the regular. As a Veteran myself, I love giving back to the Veteran community. We raise money regularly for various Veteran charities. Currently, we are raising money for Stop Soldiers Suicide for the month of September. We also own an off-road UTV race team which races in the TORCS, Best in the Desert and TexPlex series of UTV racing.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We are always looking for sponsors for our race team. This is a way for businesses to be able to get national product promotion. We place your business logos on our cars, trailers, trucks and promote you on our website, all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat). We also look for vendors for our products.
