Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolyn Hudson.
Carolyn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I went to school for travel and hospitality and while at school I worked for an airline in Des Moines, IA. and I was immeditaly hooked. I went on after school and became a flight attendant and flew the friendly skies for many years. In 2000 I married my husband and we have to adult children, Emma (24) and Evan (22). We continued to travel with our chldren and I decieded a couple of years ago to help others make memories through travel. As a Luxury Travel Advisor I help people plan their vacations so all they have to do is sit back relax and enjoy their vacation. I take care of every detail and I work with numerous of veriied suppliers, tourism boards and Destination specialist so I can make sure you are getting the very best service possible. Vacation planning can be stressful as it has alot of moving parts, espically if you are going somewhere that is exotic or our of your comfort zone. I plan global vacations and cruises but my absoulute favorite is Bucketlist Vacations, especially those that involve animals. African safaris, curises to the Galopagoes, Antartica , maybe Iceland or Alaska to see the Northern Lights or maybe somewhere you never thought you would go like the Artic Circle or Manatoba to see the poloar bears.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing worth while goes without its challenges. It can be very overwhelming starting a business. I have been a Luxury Travel Advisor for 3 years now and at first it was a struggle. Learning what suppliers to use, marketing to the right client base, and the most challenging part for me was knowing that I could do it and I didnt want to dissapoint my clients, I’m my own worst enemy. I have spent the last 3 years building a client base and I continue to market on social media, sending a weekly newletter to maintain contact with my clients and trying to gain new ones, I love it when my clients refer me to therir family and friends.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Luxury Travel Advisor who curates once in a lifetime vacations for my clients. I plan all sorts of vacations from simple weekend getaways to Bucklist Vacations. My speciality is adventure or expedition travel. I love to plan vacations such as African Safaris, cruises to the Galopagoes, visit Antartica or maybe cruise the Artic cirlce or Manatoba to see the polar bears. I love adventure travel that includes anaimals.
As a Luxury Travel Advisor who specializes in advenure animal travel, I feel that I take the time to get to know my clients and their needs so I can plan their vacation to their interest and needs. It is all about them , its not about me and what I would do, its about them so they can go and make memeores that will truely last a lifetime.
I work with verified suppliers, tourism boards and destination specialist so that our clients are taken care of in every way, not just with me but while their on their trip they will have local support if anythig arises. I will work with you and keep you updated along the way of our planning journey, I am not just book it and leave it advisor, if something goes wrong I will work with you and our local rep to see that everything gets fixed. I am very picky about what suppliers I work with. I only work with the best and most trused companies that I know will take care of our clients.
What are your plans for the future?
As of now I am continuing to market my business and attrack new clientele. I would love for anyone who loves to travel to contact me so we can have a consultation to see if we are a good fit, I am contimung my education so i can stay up to date on whats going on in the travel world and continue to network with suppliers so I can add new destitnations to my portfoilio.
Our Agency owner, Patty has started a travel club in The Woodlands called The Woodlands Travel club. We get together and have planned social activites and we plan a trip every year for our memembers. In 2026 we plan on going on a River Cruise down the Mekong river to Viatiam and Cambodia. We are currently voting on our 2027 trip. If you are interested in joing our club please visit our webiste.
