Meet Catherine Doria of Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Catherine Doria.

Hi Catherine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I originally started in 2020 with my first business Magnolia Pearl Designs; where I make personalized gifts. It was an outlet for me after my mother’s passing. After being in business for a couple of years I wanted to create a new business with a more clear niche. This is where Noah’s Grace Apparel was born in 2024. This was inspired by my son Isaiah whom has Cerebral Palsy. After being a single mother for so long at the time; I wanted to create a way to make income on the side while also spreading awareness of other disabilities. I have not seen any other brands like mine out there so I took the opportunity to create a unique business with a deeper meaning. I wanted others to showcase their support for the disability community whether they are a caretaker, therapist, or a person living with a disability I have designs for everyone to display. Today we have grown our items to not just apparel. We offer stickers, tote bags, drawstring backpacks, coloring & activity books, along with hand sewn items made by me such as sensory bags and marble mazes. I am happy with our growth and continue to create new items all with pride. Getting to grow both of my businesses while simultaneously being a mom has been the most inspiring and amazing journey of my life. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have gotten to experience in the little time that I have been owning my businesses, but it is all a product of the hard work I put in and the help from my supporters. Our name is getting out there within the community and I am excited for people to see what we have coming up!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, but I have persevered through. There has been challenges with creativity and coming up with new designs and getting my name out there. Through it all I have made the best out of everything that has come my way with a positive outlook and mindset.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a stay at home mother. I own two businesses. I specialize in personalized gifts along with having a disability inclusive clothing brand. Everything from both of my businesses are handmade, with pride and intent. I am known for being the best mom I can be and getting my son out in the community to show he can do things just like others his age despite his disability. I am most proud of my kids and their accomplishments. My son has beat all the odds and still has a great attitude on life. My oldest she is entering in her senior year of high school and will be graduating with her high school diploma and her associates degree. I am confident that my youngest who is 8 months has great role models to look up to. What sets me apart from others is my drive and ability to prioritize both family and business. They both go hand in hand because my family is apart of my business. My daughter and I collaborate on designs, she created my website, she pictures for my mockups, my son models with our designs, she lists our items on our website. It is truly a family effort.
