Galveston Island Brewing opened in June of 2014 and quickly became Galveston’s premiere local brewery. We offer an on-site tap room with over 10 beers on tap. We are dog and family friendly, including a playground out front for the kiddos. We offer a laid-back island vibe with handcrafted beers and local food.
Our flagship beer, TIKI Wheat, can be found in over 60 restaurants and bars on Galveston Island. We proudly distribute from Beaumont to Victoria and have aspirations to be THE gulf coast brewery.
Has it been a smooth road?
Struggles happen every day! Most of our small 7 staff team come from other trades and have turned their hobbies into careers. We all wear many hats and at the same time work together and learn something new every day.
From storage space to move from a 5 barrel system to a 20 barrel system, each day we turn our small space into what we need to keep up with production.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Galveston Island Brewing – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a brewery that specializes in brewing traditional beer styles from around the world. We are most known for our flagship beer, TIKI Wheat.
As a company, we are proud to be a small startup with just a few employees to a thriving business and name in the beer industry.
Most people set us apart from others for our place being a place you WANT to be at. Always a laid back environment, friendly staff & great beer. We are a strong team that works together to get the job done, and I think our customers pick up on the vibe and enjoy being at our brewery.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Houston- I love the diversity of not only the people but the things you have in one city. From the beach, to the arts, restaurants, breweries… Houston offers it all with a nice side of southern hospitality.
Dislike- easy… TRAFFIC!
