Meet Chasstidy Shubin of Blazing Bins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chasstidy Shubin.

Chasstidy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Richard got out of the Military and hated the corporate world. He always dreamed of working for himself and when he heard about trash can cleaning as a service he thought TEXAS definitely NEEDS this service!

We took a leap of faith and started our business! The first couple of months were very hard, business was slow, the days were short and it got dark early this made cleaning cans quite the challenge! Richard worked his corporate job for over a year while learning and growing the businesses, It has taken much effort and time but he loves his job. He loves the customers and their stories, he loves seeing the kids run out to see the ‘cool” truck.

We have hired our first employee Ryan he is everything we could want in an employee and more. We continue to thrive despite the many challenges that have been thrown our way over the past years. We attribute that to our great customer service, dedication and Richard’s military training in endurance! We are humbled and grateful for our wonderful customers and their support.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We have had our ups and downs along the way, we have learned a ton from trial and error. When you are a new business and one of the first in the area/ industry (Not that we are the 1st but this is a fairly new industry) you have a lot to learn. We are always striving to improve. I would say one of the biggest hurdles has been simply educating why clean trash cans are important! People have no idea this service existed or that clean trash cans really make a big difference. When we eliminate the odors in the trash cans we are essentially removing harmful germs and bacteria that thrive in trash cans. It is critical that people understand why we do what we do and advertising can be very pricy especially for new businesses who haven’t taken off yet.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We clean, sanitize and deodorize trash cans. We are veteran-owned and operated. We use a special truck to lift the cans and sanitize them, We use 180-degree hot water to sanitize the cans. We are eco-friendly, we come to your home the day after the trash is picked up to clean, sanitize and deodorize the cans, then we dry them and return them for you. We try to make this a very easy process for you so we send an email and text message reminder the day before we come to remind you to leave your cans accessible. We have many options to accommodate a variety of needs such as monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly or one time only. Our customers LOVE the way their trash cans smell after we leave and often tell us their entire garage smells awesome after receiving our service.

We are also certified and insured in soft washing and pressure washing and love to get driveways and homes looking new again! We take pride in our work and strive to be the best of the best and a company that our customers would never hesitate to recommend.

We communicate often, we work in most weather conditions and don’t make excuses or take shortcuts. We treat our customers like family and think this is the recipe to sucess.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Communication is key, you will have good days and bad, you will learn, you will grow, you will make mistakes, you will mess up, people will love you and they will hate you. Generally, if you are honest and reliable most things can be worked out if not, that’s okay too everything happens for a reason. One the good days and the bad we strive to remember where we came from, where we are and where we want to be, Grace and humility go a long way.
