Executive Chef Nirman Shah brings his imagination to life in his Bollywood themed restaurant Nirmanz Food Boutique. Shah, born in Maharashtra always had a creative mind and a love for movies. His passion for movies and dedication to the arts of culinary, beautifully come together in this upscale cinema themed restaurant that give you a taste of the mouth watering food found in the streets of India. Trained in the Rambagh Palace of Jaipur, India, Shah has a degree in Food Technology and Hotel Management.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an immigrant, running a business and raising a family altogether is anything but a smooth road. After my wife and I got married, we wanted a chance at the American dream, so we made our way here in the late 90s, with heavy hearts and mixed feelings of excitement and fear of the unknown. When you are pursuing a dream that’s so unordinary from the traditional Indian culture, there are many that question and doubt your chosen path repeatedly. However, fast forwarding 23 years, I wouldn’t take back any of the struggles or setbacks. All of them combined brought me and my family to where we are today.

The whole family behind Nirmanz encompasses the brand that exists today. Chef Nirman, along with his wife Niyati and three daughters, Manushi, Aayushi and Sreyanshi are present in running the business operation and executing the vision. Chef’s mission was to bring forth the authentic and flavorful food that his home country offered and showcase it on the American land. We strongly believe in the power of family and love and that is the experience that we provide to our longtime customers. Having been in this city for this long, that’s what it’s become, our customers are our extended family. And that’s what simply makes us stand out. Even though the journey has been far from easy, the family is truly so proud of how far they’ve come despite all the hardship.
