Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelle Thompson.
Chelle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Having a full-time job that was not for me and always having the desire to become an entrepreneur was the push I needed to live out my dreams. I wanted to see what it was like to bartend as it was on my bucket list. I got certified and I’ve been a bartender for years and love it! I started contemplating a business that I could enjoy and interact with people as well as something that others could enjoy as much as I would.
That’s when I thought about starting a mobile bartending service, I later named Lavish Pours!! Entrepreneurship has always been on my heart for as long as I could remember so this was definitely the way to go. It was a rough start but it grew and is still growing. Eventually, I had to hire other bartenders to help me out with bookings and that’s when I knew I was on to something. A year later, I started to think of another business I could add to Lavish Pours. While smoking hookah and brainstorming, that’s when it hit me….MOBILE HOOKAH!! Lavish Clouds was born! I brought this idea to my best friend now business partner Linda Silva knowing she wanted to start another business as well and shortly after I started promoting Lavish Clouds, she decided to open a hookah lounge and wanted me to partner with her by combining the two companies as one. Thats when Cataleya Hookah Lounge became a reality! We’ve put in so much hard work into Cataleya and still can’t believe we’re open for business!!! We are so grateful!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Working a full-time job and running a business is not easy at all. Sleepless nights, stressful days, not knowing what to do next at times, feeling complacent and hearing plenty no’s made it a bumpy road. Not knowing what I was getting myself into but willing to take a chance and step out on faith to make my dreams a reality was the only choice I had. I know there will be more obstacles along the way but I’m ready to tackle them head on!

Lavish Pours and Lavish Clouds mobile services provide convenience to the City of Houston. Our clients are able to enjoy themselves and party with friends and family either in the comfort of their own homes or private venues. Lavish Pours provide amazing signature drinks and shots for the theme of the event booked and allow our clients to experience their favorite cocktails the Lavish way with a twist they will never experience anywhere else. Lavish Clouds provide top-notch hookah with a combination of flavors to satisfy the taste buds! We also give options to have tropical fruit heads and specialty bases that our clients absolutely love and give big smoke like no other!
Cataleya Hookah Lounge is a Colombian based lounge that serves of course, the best hookah in the city of Houston as well as authentic Colombian food and music. We are the ONLY Colombian Hookah in Houston and bring the culture to our guests for a different experience they will not find in any other hookah lounge in town. Let’s not forget that all guests and clients will get the upmost best customer service!!
