Today we’d like to introduce you to Cheri Kauffman.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born in Houston, Texas on April 4, 1978. As the eldest of five siblings, I learned the value of determination and resilience from a young age. Despite facing diversity as a woman and a minority in the male-dominated chemical industry, I pursued my passion and carved a path to success nearly two decades.
I am a proud wife to Jacob and mother of five children: Ashlee, Brittnee, Charles, Cody, and Aaliyah. I embody the essence of strength, love, and empowerment in both my personal and professional life. My journey from overcoming struggles to becoming a well-known figure in the industry has inspired many, earning a strong following on LinkedIn and connections that I personally admire and look up to.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. I had to suffer through many years of awful management, supervisors, and coworkers that saw me as a competition instead of part of the team. When all I really wanted to do was learn more and be successful. All of this leading to toxic work environments and mental health struggles.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am currently a Sales Account Manager for Leschaco USA; I specialize in Iso tanks but can provide services such as freight forwarding, air freight, sea freight, and so much more. I am known for making sure I’m heard walking into a room, being positive, smiling, and loving pink. I am most proud of my ability to inspire others. What sets me apart from others is that I am authentic. What you see is what you get, and I’m always willing to learn!
What do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is seeing other people happy. Why? Because that’s what I was born to do!
