Today we’d like to introduce you to Chima John Alakwe.
Chima John, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Arch Artistic World was founded in the small city of Owerri in Imo State Nigeria in 2012 as an Artist and event management outfit. It was a step up for me having led one of the best entertainment outfit in the city at the time (The E swag Crew) popularly known for its formidable Afro dance team.
After I graduated from college, I hosted my first event, “The Beat & Sound Show” using that as an avenue to also promote my first single as a professional Afro beat high-life artist. I went on to serve for a year in a paramilitary government program called “The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) where I also promoted few shows for local artists in the city. The company took a big turn in the 2014 when I hosted the most talked about event of the season, “The Monster Show Make Up Party” which opened doors for the company to function as a recognized event management outfit. Arch artistic world has grown tremendously and still waxing strong in the entertainment hospitality business with one music artist and three young and motivated dance artists signed to its name.
We also found interest in talented teenagers and youths who need help maximizing their potentials and we help guide, instruct and teach them the fundamentals of their respective field of talents.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We are an independent entertainment company and that sometimes has its downsides. The major challenge of the company will be the fact that not too many folks want to invest in entertainment, Maybe because they can’t do a total rundown on the statistics of generating profit if they invest or the fact that they doubt the possibility of it been possible if ever you give them a thorough statistical rundown on how income can be generated. Whatever the case may be, that has been our major challenge so far.
ARCH ARTISTIC WORLD – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Arch Artistic World is an artist and event management outfit. We promote artists, brands, companies, events, shows, platforms and anything entertainment related.
We specialize mainly in event promotion and management.
We are not in any competition with any other entertainment outfit because we stand out, and we know our strength as well as our flaws, and we take pride in succeeding and also make sure our customers know what we can or cannot do before taking on any job or contract.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I believe success is the ability to know what to do, do it right and change lives doing it.
