Today we’d like to introduce you to Chrishawn Battle.
Hi Chrishawn, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2012, I purchased my first home. I was 25 years old married with three children. Closing day was one of the most rewarding and fulfilling days of my life. I gave my children a home with their own bedrooms. We made many memories in that home including adding another child to our family, which prompted us to buy our second home. As years have passed and children have grown, my focus has shifted. I value my freedom to create a schedule that truly allows home and work balance. My parents have been realtors for over 20 years. They would always suggest I get my license, and we could one day work together. I had a love for visiting homes, observing the craftmanship and the unique charm that some homes offer. I would often visit my mother at her new home sales office. I would smile watching her give keys to a first time homebuyer, remembering that amazing feeling of stepping into my new built home. With the shift of the world, I shifted from childcare to realtor. It has been the best rebirth of myself, allowing me to help people and bring joy to families.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Becoming a realtor was not a smooth road. I struggled with imposter syndrome and insecurities of starting a new career at almost 40 years old. Going back to school was challenging. I navigated a divorce, motherhood, and relearning myself at the same time of starting a new journey. I knew that God had brought me to it and he would bring me through it.

As a real estate agent I represent buyers and sellers in their real estate transactions. My focus is educating people about the process and being a partner to them from start to closing. As an educator, I believe education is the key to growth and changing the future. I’m most proud of helping clients relocate to Houston. Relocating brings different emotions and mental spaces. I aid in relieving the stressors of relocating to a new state. I’m patient, kind, and communicative. I keep God at the center of everything I do.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I’m an honest and transparent person. I’m not going to tell you what you want to hear I will tell you what you need to hear. ALWAYS with love. I think people respect honesty.
