Today we’d like to introduce you to Chrisnatha Derosier.
Chrisnatha, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My journey began as a young lady in my early 20’s. I truly enjoyed bringing women together. We spent extensive amounts of time encouraging one another, keeping one another accountable and pushing one another to become better versions of ourselves spiritually, emotionally and professionally. I recall hosting a weekly women’s bible study with my close girlfriends for nine years. This is when I truly understood the power of sisterhood and my passion for being a catalyst for women and their growth while they discovered who they were created to be.
Growing up without a sister, I always desired to have a huge circle of women whom I considered to be a safe place for me and I wanted to provide the very same environment for them. I now am able to do this through my group and one-on-one life coaching services.
In the summer of 2018, I packed up and moved to Houston, TX. I am expanding my work to the bayou city and committed to impacting even more lives as I assist women discover the Masterpiece within themselves. Such a wonderful opportunity!
I live my life according to who I am. Each decision either takes me closer or further away from my destiny. I am constantly becoming each day and my purpose is to assist women around the world get to the C.O.R.E. of who they are.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has been filled with peaks as well as valleys. If I had to decide again whether or not I would move 1,000 miles away from my hometown (Fort Lauderdale, FL) and everything that is familiar to me, I would still choose to move away. Nothing about this experience has been wasted. Not one moment.
Some of the struggles along the way have been building community. When I first moved to Houston, I did not have many friends. Coming from my hometown of Fort Lauderdale, FL where I had so many girlfriends and family, I had a tough time with my new reality of building new relationships.
I began attending women empowerment events where I was able to connect with like-minded women. I also joined an incredible ministry, Lighthouse Church where I serve on the host team and am part of leadership. I absolutely love welcoming our guests and being a part of making their experience at service an incredible one each week. I am a servant leader so I am able to lead in any environment. The goal is to serve with excellence. I do this as a part of the host team at church and as a certified life coach with my clients. I now have a strong community here that I am grateful for.
Another struggle has been getting used to Houston traffic. I now have a great playlist in the car so my commute as well as my patience has improved.
Please tell us about I am a Masterpiece.
I am the founder of I am a Masterpiece. I am a certified life coach, author and speaker.
I once struggled with my self-image and low self-esteem. This resulted in me developing an eating disorder as an adolescent. Since then, I see myself through the eyes of the King and help other women to see themselves through God’s eyes. I overcame that struggle and vowed to always inspire and uplift other women to love themselves.
This is where my company was birthed. I am a Masterpiece is a movement designed to help other women discover the Masterpiece within. We want women everywhere to love and accept who God created them to be. I assist women go from confusion to clarity by helping them get to the core of who they are and to live everyday operating in their purpose. I do this through my group coaching program, the Masterpiece Institute.
I am known for making my clients feel like they can fly.
I specialize in strategically assisting women gain confidence in God that lives on the inside of them. Through our coaching, they are able to discover that they are a God-carrier. We all have a piece of Heaven on the inside of us. We have the ability to bring Heaven crashing down here on Earth. Some things that we focus on in our coaching sessions are: the Masterpiece mindset, getting to the C.O.R.E. of who we are, God & Goals and more.
Recently, I began also teaching women how to write their story and the essentials of communicating their message in a clear, colorful way. I help to birth female authors and I love it!
As a company, I am most proud of witnessing the transformation that takes place in the lives of my clients. I refer to them as Masterpiece beauties. The mission of our company is inspired by Ephesians 2:10.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10) NLT.
We truly believe that we are created to be the answer to someone’s prayer. So my clients are equipped with tools to live full to one day die empty. Living a purposeful life is the goal.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Absolutely nothing. All the lessons learned were necessary for me to this version of myself. I just want to impact more lives.
