Today we’d like to introduce you to Christiano Hernandez and Kevin Rose.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
While teaching, I noticed a desire from students to achieve all sorts of artistic creations and designs. However, many of my students did not have the means to carry out their talents at a higher level or as a means to participate in entrepreneurship.
This was the overarching motivation that began the Cristiano D brand. During my time working on Cristiano D leather and jewelry products, I’ve helped inspire individuals develop in their skill sets—together with younger and older artists we’ve learned to steadily create pieces that have sparked high interest and intrigue by a variety in clientele.
Has it been a smooth road?
The challenges have been many; however, each obstacle has instilled a greater desire for me to push forward. Throughout the struggles, I’ve learned not to give up in the face of adversity, but to harness each step as a lesson learned in both life and in business.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Cristiano D story. Tell us more about the business.
The Cristiano D product is unique in that the overall quality and design is exceptional. Cristiano D produces an array of jewelry and leather goods that are individually handcrafted. We pride ourselves on small detail, such as the sterling silver trim logo on each leather piece and the artistically carved box, which packages each Cristiano D creation. Our goal is to place a smile on each individual that takes part in either producing or purchasing this one of a kind product.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The sky is the limit over the next 5-10 years. Cristiano D considers itself more of a ‘social entrepreneurship’ style for many.
