Today we’d like to introduce you to Christin Romo.
Christin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a native of Sugar Land, TX. After graduation, I moved to Central California. I lived there for ten years. That was a transformational period. In CA is where I began a daily yoga practice 1/1/14. My son came into the world in 2016 which opened my eyes to a new perspective. I completed 200hr yoga teacher training, as well as Reiki Level I and II.
My family and I relocated back to the area in 2018. After two life-changing events, I decided to obtain Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Master Teacher certification. I also became an Ordained Minister. At the same time, an opportunity presented itself, and I decided to set up practice as an Energy Healer. This is Open Gate Wellness. Let’s just say the “gate” has been open ever since.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This path is a narrow one. I have faced many challenges to get to the point I am today. All were necessary for my growth and to be able to help people the way I do. Living away from home in California for 10 years was a constant strain of challenges, but that was a period in which I learned so much. I also faced personal health issues and those in my family which strengthened me in many ways. I credit my suffering for the gift I have in being able to connect with those I help on many levels without judgment, and from a place of understanding.

Rather than smoke and mirrors, I provide results clients refer others to, and keep returning for.
I am most proud of holding space for change to happen in my client’s, and their family’s, lives for the better. My services are catered to each client and their case. Every session and offering is a personalized service with intuitive reading and feedback. I offer professional recommendations on products and counsel on benefits and use. This is an unique experience in wellness found at no other entity in the area.
Any big plans?
Learning! Always learning and refining my craft. The best teachers never stop learning. I am looking forward to expanding, hosting trainings and workshops, and completing a few projects in the works. One includes my podcast “The Open Gate” now on Anchor, Spotify, and iTunes.
