Thanks for sharing your story with us Christine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As a young adult in New York, I found work in an office atmosphere for over eight years until I could no longer enjoy the day and the monotony of it all. I knew I wanted work with my hands and have more of a flexible schedule.
I took my interest in skincare and products to the next level and became an Esthetician. While I enjoyed doing facials and body treatments it wasn’t until I went to work for a waxing franchise in 2012 that my passion really blossomed. In 2015, my husband and I moved with our three children to the Houston area. I stayed with the waxing franchise until February of 2018 when I opened up Savvy Waxing. I love being able to take the time to have real discussions with my clients. I believe in educating everyone so that they may have the best waxing experiences. I love the instant satisfaction clients receive from hair removal. I love helping woman get past their fears and anxieties and realizing they are stronger and braver than they give themselves credit for most times.
Has it been a smooth road?
With any new adventure there is always going to be a lot of time and effort that goes into it. I struggled to find time for myself, family, and business. It has all settled in together perfectly though. I have really enjoyed every aspect of owning my business and will always keep challenging and educating myself.

Savvy Waxing is a full body waxing suite. I spend a good five or more minutes talking with my clients about their skin, hair, contraindications they may have, or their expectations of service. I am always trying out new products for before and aftercare and will only refer and use the best on the market. I am constantly getting new waxes sent to me to try, which I love, but most won’t make the cut. I am currently using a combination of Texas made waxes that are Vegan-Friendly and Allergen Free. It does an incredible job of causing little to no discomfort or irritation while removing each and every hair. I am a trained speed waxer so I can have you in and out the door in less than 15 minutes for most services. I started waxing clients a few years ago to brighten tattoos that had seem to lose color or vibrancy and found that removing hair and dead skin by waxing can bring them back to life! This is one of my favorite services too. I have proudly started about 3000 men and woman on their waxing journeys.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
We moved to the Houston area because of the growth of the city. To be honest, my clients ask me all the time “why did you move to this area?” The answer, in short, google told us too. Crazy right?! It’s the truth. My husband is in the construction industry, I was tired of shoveling snow off my car, and our three children needed a good education. Viola! Thank You Google. Fun Fact, we decided to move here ten months before we actually moved but never once visited! We spent five days driving down and our moving truck showed up two weeks later when we found our house. Best decision ever!
