My journey to becoming a business owner started with a desire to turn my passions into something meaningful. I wanted to create brands that reflected my creativity, values, and commitment to excellence while providing products and experiences that people would genuinely enjoy.
I first founded The Cooper Candle Company, where I began creating hand poured candles and home fragrance products. As the business grew, I expanded the product line to include wax melts, room sprays, reed diffusers, car fresheners, gift sets, and other home fragrance products. Along the way, I built my online presence through my website and social media, learning every aspect of running and growing a business.
My passion for cooking inspired me to launch Cooking w/ Chris, a brand dedicated to sharing flavorful recipes, cooking inspiration, and engaging food content. Through this platform, I have been able to connect with others by sharing my love for cooking while continuing to grow the brand through videos, recipes, and creative content.
Owning these businesses has taught me the importance of perseverance, continuous learning, and believing in the vision God has placed in my heart. Every challenge has helped me grow, and every success has reinforced my commitment to building brands that reflect quality, creativity, and authenticity. Becoming a business owner has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life, and I look forward to continuing to grow, innovate, and serve my customers for years to come.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced as a business owner has been learning how to wear multiple hats. In the beginning, I was responsible for everything, from creating products and developing recipes to marketing, customer service, website management, inventory, and finances. It was a lot to balance, but every challenge taught me something new about running a successful business.
Another obstacle has been building brand awareness. Getting people to discover and trust a new business takes time, consistency, and patience. There were moments when growth seemed slow, but I learned that success isn’t built overnight. It’s built through showing up every day, staying consistent, and continuously improving.
I’ve also had to overcome self-doubt and uncertainty. As an entrepreneur, there are times when you question whether you’re making the right decisions. During those moments, I leaned on my faith, stayed focused on my vision, and reminded myself why I started. Every setback became an opportunity to learn, adapt, and come back stronger.

I specialize in creating memorable experiences through high quality products and meaningful brands. I am the founder of The Cooper Candle Company, where I create handcrafted home fragrance products, including candles, wax melts, room sprays, reed diffusers, and other lifestyle items designed to bring warmth, comfort, and luxury into people’s homes. I am also the creator of Cooking W/ Chris, a culinary brand where I share flavorful recipes, cooking inspiration, and creative food content that encourages people to enjoy cooking with confidence.
I am known for my attention to detail, creativity, and commitment to excellence. Whether I’m developing a new candle fragrance, creating a recipe from scratch, designing marketing materials, or building a brand, I believe in delivering products and content that reflect quality and authenticity. I enjoy taking an idea from concept to completion and creating something that people can truly connect with.
What I am most proud of is building businesses that are a true reflection of who I am. I started with a vision, invested my own time and effort, learned new skills along the way, and transformed my passions into growing brands. Seeing customers support my businesses and enjoy what I’ve created is one of the most rewarding parts of being an entrepreneur.
What sets me apart is that I don’t just sell products. I create experiences. Every candle, every recipe, every piece of content, and every customer interaction is created with intention. My faith in God, creativity, and dedication to continuous improvement influence everything I do. I strive to build brands that leave a lasting impression, provide value, and inspire others to pursue their own dreams with excellence and purpose.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe the quality that has contributed most to my success is perseverance. Building a business isn’t always easy. It requires patience, consistency, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when progress feels slow or obstacles arise. I’ve learned that success isn’t about never facing challenges. It’s about refusing to give up when those challenges come.
My faith in God has also been a guiding force throughout my entrepreneurial journey. It has given me the strength to trust His timing, remain focused on my purpose, and continue pursuing the vision He placed in my heart. Combined with a commitment to excellence and a desire to keep learning, perseverance has allowed me to grow as both a business owner and a leader.
I believe that if you remain consistent, stay true to your values, and continue improving your gifts and talents, success will follow. That’s the mindset I bring to everything I do, and it’s the foundation on which I’ve built my businesses.
