Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Sanchez.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I begin working with crystals back in 2016 when I was gifted my first piece of Tourmaline and I begin to learn how to work with the crystals and how to meditate using the crystals as a tool in my own healing. I begin to collect as many as I could and soon my small collection turned into an obsession. I would carry them in velvet pouches in my pockets but they would fall out. I remember once I was working out at the gym when I lifted myself up during a pull-up and suddenly the crystals I chose to carry that day fell out unto the ground. The people nearby looked at me funny, I’m sure they were wondering why I was carrying rocks at the gym, I knew I had to find a better way to carry them since I wouldn’t leave the house without them. During this same time, I had befriended my next door neighbor. I showed her my rose quartz and she showed interest in my crystals.
Soon after we visited a crystal shop and it became our go to place for our collection. She happened to love crafts and knew how to make costume jewelry. She asked me to teach her how to meditate and I agreed and said “ I’ll teach you how to meditate if you show me how to make the bracelets”. We begin to make our own gemstone bracelets with the crystals we collected and soon people begin to ask is where we got them. It was then that we decided start a business together along with one more friend. The three of us jumped into it, not knowing where it would lead but we knew together we would do this. We set up our table at our first craft event at our kid’s elementary school and we made a total of $93.00 that day. We were so excited 😆.
Fast forward a year later and we decided to part. We were each on our own journey and each one of us had different paths to take. We announced the closing of our page Three Eyed Goddess. I wasn’t ready to quit however, I always knew there was more work to be done. I had faith In my crystals and I was in it for the healing. I knew this was my mission here on earth. I opened my own page Gaia’s Treasure Cove and luckily I already had followers from the previous business. I had connected with them personally and offered spiritual guidance on many occasions. I will always be grateful for my followers. It was them that inspired me to keep going even on those days that the page seemed to be going nowhere. They would contact me in private and ask for guidance, that is how I knew I was making a difference In someone’s life. This inspired me to further educate myself so I could offer more help.
On April of 2018, I completed my course and received my Crystal Healing Practitioners certification. Soon after I followed it with my Angelic Healing Practitioners certification and then the Advanced Angelic Healing Certification. I am now an accredited member of the International Association of Therapists. I am currently studying to get certified as a Master Usui Reiki level 1, 2, and Master practitioner/ instructor. As well. I never thought I would say this and I never knew how far I would get. I was made fun of a lot and even attacked on social media and still am for my beliefs in the healing powers of crystals. That doesn’t stop me though. Seeing and hearing the feedback from friends, family and customers keeps me wanting to grow my business more. I am so grateful for their ongoing support. I now know my purpose and my goal is so much bigger then this. I look forward to growing more and expanding beyond an online store alongside my husband Agustin Sanchez.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, as I said earlier I have been attacked verbally in person and on social media. I’ve had to block and report quite a few people. Those who do not understand how the crystals work immediately assume this is some sort of devil worship or that I’m some sort of modern snake oil salesman. This isn’t a religious practice but a tool that I include in my own spiritual practice.
Gaia’s Treasure Cove – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My company is Gaia’s Treasure Cove, Gaia is Mother Earth and the gemstones come from her. It is through her that the crystals receive their healing properties, I am a certified crystal / Angelic healing practitioner and I make and sell handcrafted gemstone jewelry naturally integrated with healing properties. I will guide you and show you how to integrate the crystals healing properties into your daily life, what sets me apart is that I offer on to spot guidance and all of my pieces are handmade and charged with my own personal energy. I make every single one with love knowing that each one is already claimed and will find it way to their rightful owner soon enough, each piece comes with ten written healing property and instructions on how to cleanse, charge and program the crystals. I believe my personal attention to these details is what sets me apart from the rest.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I don’t know if I can choose just one, Every time I get feedback from someone who has purchased a piece or after a healing session I get teary Eyed. Knowing I made an impact on someone’s life for the better helps me feel fulfilled and happy for them too. I am honored that they can feel comfortable and confident in me enough to share their personal lives with me and allow me to help them any way I can. These are my proudest moments. My happiest moments however are working alongside my husband. He now works most events with me on his days off and has even learned to create pieces and is doing his best to learn as much about the crystals healing properties so he can help my business grow, it has become our dream to expand it together and I couldn’t be happier to make this a reality knowing I have his full support.
