Meet Coby Rich

Today we’d like to introduce you to Coby Rich.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I consider myself something of a digital media Swiss army knife. I’ve spent ten years in all facets of production – directing, editing, cinematography and producing – and in social media. My career pitstops have spanned the world of local news in Beaumont, Texas, on to the sports communication department for Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, then to heading up social and digital media for the Arizona Cardinals in Phoenix, Arizona, to producing content for Academy Sports + Outdoors and finally creating my own venture, Get Rich Digital. My experience included building one of the NFL’s top social media presences during my time with the NFL and also being awarded four regional Emmys for my work on numerous television programs.

Please tell us about your art.
I specialize in video. I like challenging norms and thinking about creating things that are different from the norm. I hope my work makes people think and resonates with people.

Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
I think artists are of the utmost importance in today’s world. Art can be a great way to either challenge the status quo or allow people to escape the craziness of their lives. Working primarily in social media, the major issues definitely affect how my work is perceived because it needs to cut through the noise.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My work is displayed on GetRichDigital.com and people can support me by hiring me!
