Today we’d like to introduce you to Colin Irwin.
Colin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Satur9xCollective was established in 2013. It started out as an alias for my Artist name. I’m an Artist that uses various media from aerosol to water color. Early on I carried around sketch books while drawing everywhere I went. As soon as an idea came to mind I would draw a detailed sketch and save it for later to transfer on canvas. While attending high school in my AP art class, my teacher would tell me my artwork is very “Saturnine”. I eventually looked it up in a dictionary and it immediately clicked that I would begin my Artist’s journey as “Satur9”.
I decided to start clothing when I painted a pair of plain white Vans and began getting a lot of attention from them. People were hitting me up left and right wanting shoes. So I designed a logo and an emblem and I knew in my head that apparel bearing my name would be the ultimate dream for me. I wanted to be known for my art. So I saved up money the next six years and purchased a screen printing machine and an iPad Pro and went to work. I didn’t quit until I achieved what I set out to do. I was persistent and never gave up on my dreams which was the base for my first shirt design ever created. “Follow your Dreams”. It’s a reminder to me and everyone who gets a glimpse that nothing is impossible if you want it bad enough. This company is solely founded off hopes and dreams. And I want to instill that and encourage people to start a movement and become more than just a group of people who wear a certain brand of apparel. Each and every individual who represents Satur9xCollective and wears the brand is family to me. I don’t see colors, shapes, sizes..etc I see the Satur9xCollective.
These people who support and purchase have made my dreams come true. I am eternally Grateful for each and every one of them.
Has it been a smooth road?
Everything has been great! I take every struggle and learn from it. Doing all the research and learning how to figure out the process was a huge learning curve because it was something the literally challenged me. Not only mentally but it challenged my patience and determination. There were nights where I laid in bed and contemplated whether or not I was cut out for it. It was so much to do alone. But I told myself Rome wasn’t built in a day and continued pushing forward

Satur9xCollective is an apparel company based out of Houston, TX. We make quality designs for quality people. Every design is original. We specialize in street wear such as snap backs, hoodies, shirts,..etc We are known for tattoo style designs as well as actual artwork on canvas. I’m most proud of our fans. They’re the real MVPs of this whole operation. If they didn’t support us or continue to purchase our products we wouldn’t be where we are today. What sets us apart from from the others is the inspiration behind the company. Founded off Hopes and Dreams. It shows that if a normal kid from Houston, TX can take an wish and make it come true all by himself, then anyone can to.

I love Houston! I’m a fan of the Astros and their fans all together. From the music scene to the art scene Houston is filled with pride. I’m so thankful to be part of one of the greatest cities in America.
