Meet Conny Ramirez of A Tablespoon Of Life

Today we’d like to introduce you to Conny Ramirez.

Conny, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
From a young age, I feel like I’ve always been able to find beauty in the simple joys of my life. Whether it was being able to enjoy a quiet playtime of paper dolls freshly printed from my now prehistoric childhood Dell computer, or genuinely enjoying a simple meal of a freshly baked Mexican Bolillo with Salvadorian cream and beans inside, to lastly, being able to appreciate the beauty of the natural scenes and environments around me and wanting to hold on to those visual memories forever. The initial love of finding the perfectly illustrated paper dolls to print and play with initiated my interest in Fashion, Art, and Illustration all at once. The perfectly shaped and baked Bolillo I admired every time I would visit my local childhood bakery sparked an interest of the Culinary Arts for me, and the constant appreciation I had of my everyday environments would later become my passion for Photography and Travel. I share these details because they are all a part of what my blog, A Tablespoon Of Life is about. Without gratitude, I could’ve easily overlooked these childhood memories that have shaped the creative gratitude filled person that I am today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I think that the road is never smooth for a creative trying to find their place in this busy, busy and fast-paced world. I’ll speak for myself, but, I tend to overthink my next creative projects way too much based on the one and only fear of rejection. The earliest memory of struggling with the fear of rejection was very early on not being able to share a couple of blog posts I had worked so hard on because I was afraid of how my real life and online peers would have to say about them. I was secretly much more cool and fearless about my draft posts back then. I say “draft” because sadly some of those cool posts never made it on to my blog. Now that I think about it, so many of those creative posts that I did not make the public would have definitely drawn my attention and inspired me to re-create or want to follow those creative ideas. A more recent struggle nowadays is finding the time with a full-time work schedule to be fully engaged in my part-time creative projects. This is definitely a daily struggle, but one that I continue to push through in hopes that what I share online, and the services that I provide in real life are creatively beneficial to those people that are interested in my creative visions.

What else should our readers know?
A Tablespoon Of Life is a Lifestyle Blog with online content of a bit of everything that’s important in my personal real life such as, Art, Photography, Hospitality, Travel, and Food Scenes all across the World. I am the creative brains behind A Tablespoon Of Life and outside of my online blog, I specialize in Creative Photography Services, Hospitality Podcasting, and very soon I will also be offering Commissioned Illustration Services. I know that it may seem like I am focusing on way too many things at once, but then again, why not? This is definitely what sets A Tablespoon Of Life apart from others. There is so much good in life that I will just continue to attempt to highlight all of the good as best as I can. I am proud that even though real life tends to get in the way of this Creative Project of mine, I continue to keep it going and growing slowly but surely in the hopes that I can one day make this Part-Time project a Full-Time Hustle. It would be a dream come true for me!

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Without a doubt in my mind, my biggest mentor, supporter, cheerleader, advocate, teammate all wrapped up in one is my older sister, Nancy. She herself is also a creative soul, and up to this day continues to wholeheartedly believe in my creative visions and future of A Tablespoon Of Life. I am so thankful for all of the help she has given me from the very beginning and all of the support she continues to show for me every day! Love you, Nancy! I cannot mention my Fiancé, Gabriel. He has been my co-pilot this past couple of years. Without him, I would most likely continue to leave my creative project ideas on draft mode. He motivates me to make those drafts a reality and to continue to push myself creatively without a fear in the world. With his help and guidance, I have been able to complete several successful Photography sessions, start my Podcasting Project, grown more comfortable in my Illustration processes, and most importantly, he is my Travel and Foodie partner in crime. Thank you for believing in me, Gabe!
