Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey & Brea Walton.
Austin and Brittany Havican made a compromise– He wanted a VW bus, and she wanted to work on her career. Being that Brittany was an event photographer, Austin came up with a concept that he knew Brittany wouldn’t be able to turn down. And then, Photo Moto HTX was born!
At the end of 2015, Austin and Brittany decided Photo Moto needed more time and love than they were able to give to the business. Brea and Corey Walton were clients of theirs and as timing would have it, were looking to start a business of their own. Austin and Brittany knew that they were leaving the bus in good hands– Brea and Corey had the same vision for Photo Moto and wanted to see the business grow. The Havicans knew they would continue to care for their customers just as they would have, all while helping Photo Moto reach its full potential. The bus has been named “Moon” after the Havican’s beloved Great Dane.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing is ever smooth when it comes to events and old vehicles, something ALWAYS comes up! Learning how to prepare and stay up to date on technology was our biggest obstacle. Whether it is building and updating our website, making custom logo options, or even knowing exactly what that odd sound under the hood is, it all gives us an opportunity to learn and become better for our clients.
Please tell us about Photo Moto HTX.
We are a mobile Photo Booth housed in a 1978 VW black and white Kombi Bus.
We roll up, slab down and take photos at and for any occasion our sweet ride will fit.
We love being able to provide a unique memorable experience for our clients in every light. It is so fulfilling to see older generations light up about the bus and tell us their own experience with a VW back in their day; as well as to see kiddos stare in amazement at the bus because they’ve never seen one in person.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Enjoy the ride a tad bit more, it’s awesome when you’re figuring it out and pulling it all together. Now we focus a bit more on fine tuning.
