Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Calhoun.
Courtney, can you briefly walk us through your story ? how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My name is Courtney Calhoun and I was born and raised in Greenville, SC. I’m a wife and mother of three beautiful girls. I am the founder of a women’s empowerment brand by the name of Moms Grind Too which came to life a little over three years ago. This brand came about while I was lying in bed one night and I had just given birth to my twins two months ago, and I found myself saying, ‘Moms Grind Too’ and it was on from there. The morning after I began drawing my logo for the band and creating my mission statement. Moms Grind Too is all about inspiring, empowering, and creating a community full of driven moms and non-moms who strive to follow their dreams while helping her sister reach her goals as well! I feel that we as women are stronger together and that we can accomplish so much more if we lift one another up and help each other stay on the right track to reaching goals and having dreams met.
Here to provide empowerment, inspiration, useful resource tools, networking events, and social media awareness to acknowledge and celebrate one another showing the world that although we are mothers, we are on our Grind Too! We will be here to support our rising entrepreneurs and offer guidance to those who aspire to become business owners. Let’s build a community of women who are not afraid to step outside the ordinary and become their own boss while raising young kings and queens along the way. Let’s show the world that us Moms Grind Too! Since I’ve created this band, I’ve help shed light on other female entrepreneurs, brought hundreds of women together through events, as well as providing grants to those seeking funding. My goal is to one day be able to help thousands of girl bosses help reach their dreams by providing financing, education, and anything else they may need to achieve their goals. Moms Grind Too is so much bigger than myself and I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story? Has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This road has been smooth sailing so far. I’m just so thankful for the support my city has shown over the years.

The thing that sets my brand apart from others is the fact that I’m constantly growing with my business and finding new ways to not only benefit myself, but other businesses that will be attached to mine.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment so far in my career has to be the fact that I didn’t give up on my dreams. I’m not only the founder of Moms Grind Too, but I’m also the owner of a women’s online boutique the name of Flawless Fashions. There have been times where I second guessed my purpose, but I thank God for continuing to guide me in the right direction towards reaching my goals.
