Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney & D’Andrea Prosper-Lee.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our story is a very simple one. We started dating in 2021, as we dated we started to feel as if we have known each other all of our lives. We eventually had a conversation about Our childhood and found out that we share the same childhood background. We both grew up in church & we said for our lives to be successful, we have to continue to center what we do in our lives around Jesus Christ. We gave everything to Jesus and said guide us in the right direction. We eventually decided to go into business together, & our promise to God is to let everyone know his name. That’s where our business name come into play, Jeremiah 2913. The scripture reads “Seek Me with All Your Heart and you will find me”. Though our company is a transport company, we believe it’s going to be bigger than just that. So to make it simple, our business story is two kids who have been praying and thanking Jesus all our lives. We both have been through tough times in our lives but we wouldn’t turn away from God. He brought us together, made us fall in love, & made us center our relationship and business around him. We have a promise to keep, and we will forever tell everyone about Jesus Christ because no matter how far you are away from him he still loves you.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This business has its ups and downs, but it’s been great for the most part. One of the main struggles of running a transpiration company is find companies that are willing to take a chance on a new company due to the high liability you take on with cargo.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We specialize in expedited freight. Drilling rigs operate 24/7, so equipment breaks. Whether it’s a load of tools delivered at 3pm on a Saturday to El Paso or replacement parts in Victoria for wireline to continue drilling into the ground, these companies need hotshot trucks to provide efficient custom less-than-truckload delivery service for small to medium-sized freight. We pride ourselves in safety we want to ensure our drivers drive safe on the road. Next is our on time delivery service. If we make a commitment to be at your warehouse at 8am, our goal is to be there between 7:00am-7:30am, otherwise we are late. The thing that sets us apart from others is our efficiency. We will deliver and pick up on time every chance we get. If we have a few slow days we use that time to do preventative maintenance to ensure when the work picks back up we are ready to roll.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
The advice we would give in finding a mentor or networking would be, whatever you decide to pursue make sure it works for you. Pray about it. If you have family members or friends that you trust and know to give great advice listen to them. We were lucky enough to have a great friend That we worked for a few years. We were director of field operations and he showed us a lot about the transport business.
