Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Stein.
Daniel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When I was four years old, I was diagnosed with a learning disability. My parents enrolled me in sports and noticed how my behavior, focus, and learning improved. They decided to buy me a gym membership to the YMCA, where I discovered my love and passion for fitness. I pursed personal training as a career and decided to specialize in the special needs population because of my own personal challenges.
Has it been a smooth road?
One of my biggest struggles along the way was finding the right people to hire to help with technical projects. We ended up wasting a lot of money on our website, SEO, and digital marketing because we didn’t know the right questions to ask or how to properly vet people.
Another challenge was not having a lot of capital to start the company. We had to sell our investment accounts and drained our savings account to fund our business, hoping that it would become profitable enough to pay us a salary. For a while, it was living month to month, not knowing what would happen next. Thankfully, we were able to get past that and now we are a completely debt-free company with 100% ownership of the company.
