Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Gomez.
Hi Daniela, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a florist here in Houston, also known as alienas bouquets. I started off as just being a girl who loved the art of giving to others. Such as always gifting flowers which then became to creating and gifting. I’ve always had a creative side to myself, which I wanted to express and thought what better way than starting off with flowers? Through every flower I design, I follow up with how someone else’s reaction will be in receiving flowers. Their expressions and happiness. It’s the thought that counts and makes me feel gratitude towards the work I do. Without the support of the environment around me, I wouldn’t be where I am right now, and I’m grateful for every single person.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There’s always going to be hardships. It definitely wasn’t a smooth road. It’s all about going out of your way and comfort zone where you need to lose in order to grow. I remember when I was first starting I had no clue how to order items such as materials especially in events such as Valentine’s Day. I’d like to say I did lose profit. I had to guide and teach myself through my journey and encourage myself to keep pushing because mistakes do happen and I was learning as I went.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about aleinasbouquets ?
Aleinasbouquets is specialized in making custom arrangements. Whether it’s for a Bridal, Birthday, graduation, or sympathy. I’d say what’s unique about my business is the thought process that I help establish. Usually a lot of people have no idea what they’re genuinely stepping foot into, so I walk them through in order to create a unique and memorable gift. Because of this, I’m proud of the way my business has grown and i would have not done it without the support of family and friends and most importantly my clients. I want others to know the importance of giving. Knowing that I’m making others feel special and clients purchase to make others happy, is what pushes me to keep going in my business.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
My business has definitely played so much luck in my life. I’ve made plenty of connections that have brought me a lot of resources and because of it, I’m grateful. Genuinely before I opened my business, I did find myself in a dark place and the thought of starting a business scared me. There was so many “what ifs.” It wasn’t until one day I finally decided to push my fear and go for it as well. Slowly but surely, I was getting back up from a dark hole in my life and the sole purpose came to me and I told myself, flowers really did save my life.
