Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Regitz.
Hi Danielle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started The Beginning Wedding Co. a few years ago as a creative outlet and way to continue working while staying mostly at home with my kids. I have always loved weddings, so I was drawn almost immediately to this industry and pretty quickly determined that planning/coordination would be the best fit for my skillset and situation in life. After a family friend took a leap of faith and allowed me to coordinate her wedding in 2022, I fell in love and have been working and growing ever since! I am now a full time wedding planner with a small team and together, we offer a variety of wedding planning and coordination services in Houston and beyond!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would not say it’s been smooth, but I’m been grateful for every “bump” along the way! If you would have asked me even just 5 years ago if I ever thought I would be a small business owner the answer would have been an immediate “no.” There are many challenges that come with getting a business off of the ground, but I am very blessed to have a supportive husband, family, and industry community that have helped me navigate these challenges with grace.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
My first career was actually in Environmental Education! Before I was running wedding days, I was leading swamp tours and fishing clinics, teaching people about conservation and ecology. I grew up camping with my family, so it was always a dream of mine to be a park ranger! Since then, I have happily traded in my tackle boxes and hiking boots for a clipboard and clean white sneakers, but I still look back on those days fondly!
