Today we’d like to introduce you to Daun.
Daun, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my entertainment journey when I was five years old. Musical theater played a huge role in my love for music and entertainment. As I got older, I decided music is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t always been easy for sure, aside from the multiple mishaps that can happen to an artist from not having the best sound to the loss of close friends and family along the way. The music did help me cope however I can honestly say there was a point in time where subliminally I was stuck due to the crazy wave of life. But the powers that be would never put more than you can handle. Since then, blessing have definitely come my way.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a recording artist, actor, host, etc. my proudest moments would be the many milestones I’ve accomplished, such as performing with major artists like. Juvenile, Latin artists like Oscar Deleon, 24 horas and many more. Also headlining Colombian festival and Latin festivals having the opportunity to travel overseas and perform as well as selling over 200,000 singles on iTunes.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
In my life, I’ve had the pleasure to work with many people who have helped me get to the place I’m at today. One being Dray he was my first manager/producer engineer and with him, I learned the essence of recording a record properly. I specifically remember a time where I cried in the studio because I had to record a verse over and over again. I believe I recorded it probably more than 100 times and it was a lesson that I would take with me for the rest of my life. I can’t forget about John he played another role in my career where I was in a group for a few years and we accomplished a lot as well. I got to see a different side of business and support. Lastly but never the least my manager to date, Tatiana Elise having a support system and a manager who is hungry for the same goals is amazing. It’s honestly something I have been blessed with. Through the course of time, I’ve had the opportunity to have amazing team of people root for me that’s why they stay in my pocket.
