Today we’d like to introduce you to David Tripp.
Thanks for sharing your story with us David. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We planted our church in January 31st, 2016 with a plan and hope to tell people about Jesus. We started by meeting in local schools with two 26 foot trailers full is everything we needed and 50 volunteers. And it began. We saw this vision statement for our church that we didn’t fully understand at the time, Love, Live, Lead. Hey that’s catchy!!
What we didn’t realize at the time that God was going to show us this is how you will help people in the community of Pearland. The Lord added, Love like the Father loves, Live like Jesus in power, and Lead in the Spirit to impact the world. BOOM now that is something you can sink your teeth into. So how do we start? Then God leads a ministry to us called RAK ministries. The pastor (pastor Seumean) shared with us what God has shown him on how to help people truly walk in the freedom Jesus has already given us. To help people get rid of all their fear, hate, anger, and sin verse live with it, to be free. Then people who walk in this freedom choose to help Advance Gods Kingdom. Since then, we have a thriving biblically based church the are helping people restore their lives to fullness by completely surrendering to God. I have also been to Brazil twice now speaking to over 1,500 people and to 7 churches to help them walk in this freedom. God has truly blessed Stacey my wife and I with this Love of the Father, to live like Jesus and to lead others to impact the world and we are just three years old. I can’t wait to see what is next.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some of the struggles have been people. We are in the people business and helping them see some of the things they stuff with is hard to go. We genuinely try to help people find this better life Jesus calls us to. Sometimes it means you have to get rid of things we hold onto from the past. That can be hard for people to do.
What else should our readers know?
To sum this up the thing we hear all the time is “I feel so loved here”. That is an awesome thing to hear and we really try to make people feel they are loved and not alone.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Well, the main one is when someone accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior of course. But there are other markers. Accepting Jesus is the beginning of the journey. Watching people’s marriages come back together, with families being restored. People living a life with no more depression and suicide thoughts. Someone who was so hateful and now they are part of our creating team welcoming people each Sunday. I probably have 100 testimonies of these things and it’s awesome.
