Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawn Coupe.
Dawn, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started with a love for fashion, fabrics, textures, colors, and interior design. So naturally, I received a Bachelor of Arts, with a specialization in Interior Design, from Sam Houston State University. After a few years of being an Interior Designer, I left my passion for a ” real job”… as many would say to a starving artist is not a good plan, So I began a new career in the medical field. I was in the medical sales for several years and then moved into a corporate role. After moving climbing the ladder as far as I could, I was happy with my success and decided to get back to my passion and love~ Design. So I open a bridal boutique in July of 2016. It has been great so far.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been surprisingly smooth. The biggest challenges are finding employees that share my same passion for customer service.

We specialize in helping brides find their perfect wedding gown to make their dream day everything they imagined. I think it’s so important for a bride to feel the most beautiful she’s ever felt on her wedding day, and I love to see her face when she finds “her” dress. We love to connect with anyone who walks into our shop. We love to get to know them and we see them as more than just a customer. Everyone who walks into our shop will leave with a smile on their face, and probably a few new friends!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Right now, we’re working on a lot of things, but probably the biggest thing we want to do next is expanding. We’re thinking about opening a whole new location at some point just for the special occasion and bridesmaids dresses.
