Today we’d like to introduce you to Dean Einstein.
Dean, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Prior to working in the marine industry, I spent 30 years in the grocery business. When I decided to make the move from New York to Texas 12 years ago, I wanted to see if I could find an opportunity to work around the water and take advantage of my more than 50 years of personal boating experience. When I was given the chance to manage Walden Marina, I jumped at it and is has been nothing short of a dream come true to combine my personal passion with my professional life. Aside from my passion for boating, I enjoy spending time with my wife of 31 years, Carla, and our son and two wonderful grandchildren.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There is never a dull moment here at Walden Marina. A typical day requires dealing with a variety of operational challenges and finding solutions that make sense not only for our Members, but also for our business.
Additionally, providing our Members with an exceptional experience is one of our top priorities. In order to achieve our goal of customer service excellence, I must make sure that my Crew is always putting our Members first, and that our culture is such that it fosters, encourages, and thrives on teamwork.
Please tell us about Walden Marina.
Walden Marina is located on the West side of Lake Conroe. With over 400 wet slips, we have a variety of different sized docks to accommodate just about any vessel.
Additionally, Walden is the only totally enclosed facility on Lake Conroe with an earthen break wall on the lake. We are known for being the lake’s “One Stop Shop, “as we offer both a fully stocked ship store and a gas dock. We are dedicated to constant improvement of our facilities and excellence in every aspect of our operation. We are open to the public, you do not have to live in Walden to store your boat here.
Pricing:
- We have a brand new Dock with 50″ slips Costing $480 per month
- Our dock prices run from $155 for a 20′ slip to the new 50′ docks
