Today we’d like to introduce you to DeAnn Rogers.
DeAnn, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always had a love for makeup since I was a little girl. I had a Diva as a mother & I watched my mom get ready for work & buy makeup as a child. So it has always been apart of me, but I never imagined that it would be my lifestyle & save me!
I live for moments where I can create a memory for someone to feel beautiful. It is nothing more satisfying than a client saying “Look at Me”
I am a single mother to three handsome boys, & anyone that knows me know that they come first! So throughout my life, I’ve had to put my dreams aside to take care of them. Buying makeup & practicing on myself seemed far & in between at times. My peers, family, & friends always encouraged me & pushed me to keep going through no matter what. I was the person that would always start something & not finish because it just wasn’t important.
In 2016, I went through a depression, a lot of people did not know, but I stopped being that girl that wore makeup & look cute. I was hiding my pain because someone had made me feel like I wasn’t good enough. I started practicing my makeup more to help take my focus off of the pain & in that year, I started my business! I got serious & officially started accepting clients!!
I found a new confidence within myself & back to ME!! Every year I get better & learn more of my capabilities. I started not only doing makeup; but hair, nails, & wardrobe styling!!
Now fast forward 2020, I have challenged myself to go even further. I stepped out on faith & invested more into my brand by getting into the permanent makeup industry! This was major for me & I am now in the process of revamping my entire Brand. The pandemic motivated me to fight & be the change I want to BE!!
My goals are still a work in progress, but I strive to create memorable experiences for my clients. The Beauty industry is growing everyday & very competitive at times; however the confidence I have now is built to Last!
