Today we’d like to introduce you to Debanhi Green.
Hi Debanhi, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi my name is Debanhi Green. I am a wife and a mom of three. I live in Houston Texas. I always had an interest in photography, but I never really dove into it. So years later, I had shared with my husband that I had an interest in photography, so he bought me my first camera ever since 2016, and I haven’t put it down since then. I just love capture moments for people. It is so rewarding being able to capture these phases of people’s life and just see my work and how much they love it. It’s just such an amazing feeling!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t been smooth. I have had my times where I doubted myself or made myself feel like I wasn’t good enough. I also struggled with comparing my work to other photographers, but I had to learn that it takes time and everyone’s art is different, and I had to be confident in who I was as a photographer!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Debanhi Green Photography is a business that provides pictures. It ranges from doing engagement pictures to graduation pictures to maternity and so much more. We offer so many things, so we are able to capture so many moments no matter what stage in life you are in. And just wanted the readers to know that I take a lot of pride in my work. I think what sets me apart from others is the type of relationship I have with my clients. Their relationship with me is so personal because I wanted to know that I am feeling the same way that they are… if they are excited because after so long, they were finally able to graduate, then I am there with them as excited as well. It’s more than just me having a session to take pictures for somebody. It’s about the relationship that I want to have with them.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
The first person I want to thank is God. And secondly I want to thank my number one supporter my husband. He is the one that picked me up when I had struggles with this business. He is the one that would stay up late to help me with editing, and last but not least, He is the one that always cheers me on to do my best.
