Today we’d like to introduce you to Deisy Zúñiga.
Deisy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was a Medical Assistant for 12 years, working the typical 8-5. I had my daughter in 2015, a preemie, and I craved to spend more time with her but my work schedule was not flexible. In 2016, I signed up for Beauty school for the eyelash extension program. I did not know anyone in the industry and has never worn lash extensions myself, it was just something that popped into my head and I dived in. I took my course and started taking friends and family from a small home studio, my popularity grew quickly due to my unique styling and concern for the health and eye safety of my clients.
I used Instagram to showcase my work and quickly became totally obsessed with everything lash extensions and education & artistry behind it. In 2018 a world-renowned Eyelash Extension company, Bella Lash, took notice of my work through Instagram and asked me to be their Houston Area Educator. It was a dream come true! Three months later on July 1, 2018, I opened my studio in Pasadena, TX. I feel extremely blessed and appreciate my clients so much, I have been able to grow and maintain an amazing group of clients that make me love my job even more!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a rollercoaster for sure. Financially it is very expensive to start a business and more than I expected. Maintaining clientele and bringing other artists it has been challenging and definitely a learning experience day by day. But definitely the outcome has been very fulfilling and I’m happy to make my family proud. This is something I couldn’t have done without the support and hard work of my husband and family.

We offer Luxury eyelash extensions and all our products are safe and made in the USA. We specialize in custom lashes that are applied according to the eye shape of each individual client. There is no one size fits all and each client’s set is different and unique to their personality, lifestyle & natural lash health. We are big on Lash Education and love for our clients to ask questions and understand everything that is happening, this makes people feel comfortable. Cleanliness, hygiene in our tools and application process is completely transparent and our clients appreciate that. I developed a unique style in Volume Lashing that my clients love and often travel from all parts of the city to experience.
Also my studio is a training facility, where students can learn beginners and advanced techniques of eyelash extensions. I am a Master Lash Artist & Educator and my Students receive a certification through Bella Lash. We provide the most in-depth & Complete training for eyelash extensions in the Houston area. My students have a high success rate and many are running successful businesses in the Industry today. Educating is a true passion of mine, I Often tell my students to prepare for my lash brain to be poured into theirs!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Definitely growing into a full esthetics salon, and offering other services such as body waxing, threading, facials, and body treatments.
